Most homeowners take pride in a lush, weed-free lawn so it’s not surprise that these same folks take pride in keeping weeds out of their flower beds as well. Sometimes this can be a tricky task since weeds can establish themselves pretty easily considering there are many open areas of soil surrounding the flowers. These weeds can then flourish and even move over to your well-tended lawn areas.

Here are some simple tricks to keep the weeds out of your flowers beds and your lawn.

First, thoroughly weed the flower bed to remove as many of the weeds as possible.

Next, lie down a pre-emergent to prevent any new weeds from sprouting.

Lastly, lie down a plastic border around the edges of the border to prevent any new weeds from entering.
